Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Material Coordinator for the R-Project in Nebraska, based in Stapleton, with travel to project yards and active construction areas. You will coordinate material receipt, storage, and delivery to align with construction schedules.

You will maintain inventories, track movements, ensure traceability, and work with logistics, quality, and field teams. The position requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years in materials coordination, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related certificate is an asset.
• 3–5 years experience in materials coordination, logistics, or supply chain in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with large-scale transmission/substation projects preferred.
• Familiar with laydown yard operations, field logistics, BOMs, packing lists, drawings, and delivery schedules.
• Proficiency with inventory tracking and reporting in Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Strong organization and communication; ability to manage competing priorities across teams.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material receipt, storage, staging, and delivery across laydown yards and active work fronts.
• Maintain accurate inventories and track material movements; identify shortages or conflicts.
• Maintain material traceability records, including heat numbers, batch info, certifications.
• Coordinate deliveries with logistics providers and vendors; support vendor-managed inventory.
• Use project systems to report quantities, availability, and milestones; support look-ahead planning.
• Follow procurement plans and regulations for material handling and documentation.
• Help project teams improve material flow, yard organization, and storage efficiency.
