Sora Resource Group in Dayton, OH is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to partner with operations, manage day-to-day HR inquiries, and support employee relations in a busy manufacturing environment.

The role covers recruiting, onboarding, compliance, leave administration, payroll support and analytics, with a focus on work-life balance and minimal weekend duties. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing HR experience.
• Experience in benefits administration, recruitment, FMLA and compliance.
• Strong employee relations background.
• Working knowledge of FMLA and Workers' Compensation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for hourly staff and production leaders on policies, attendance and inquiries.
• Partner with hiring managers to fill hourly manufacturing roles and oversee onboarding.
• Collaborate with operations leaders to resolve issues and support timekeeping, payroll and records.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, audits, leaves of absence and WC.
• Lead engagement, wellness and recognition programs while tracking key HR metrics.
