Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Service Technician II to respond to service requests, perform apartment turnover work, and maintain the property.

You will work with building trades and operate independently to handle interior, exterior, and site duties, with a strong focus on customer service. This full-time in-office role requires five days per week, weekend/on-call availability, and adherence to safety with PPE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or 3 years in property management or hospitality.
• Minimum 3 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in two or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Complete or monitor vendor preventive maintenance tasks for building systems and components.
• Prepare repairs to vacant apartments for new resident move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces through cleaning, trash management, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Prepare and repair for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with PPE and safety mindset.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation and emergency service duties.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with technical guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
