Job summary

The Community Builders is seeking a Service Technician II to promptly respond to service requests, prep apartments, and maintain the property. You will work independently with strong building trades skills and focus on safety and customer service.

Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; assist with on-site emergencies and mentor junior techs in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or 3 years of progressive responsibility in property management or hospitality preferred.
• Industry-Trade certifications preferred (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) optional.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform repairs for appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly under supervision.
• Monitor vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and components.
• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new residents move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces including cleaning, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Support REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
