Job summary

RPM Living is hiring a Maintenance Technician to care for interior and exterior common areas of our properties. You will perform custodial tasks, basic landscaping, unit make-ready, and light repairs while safely operating equipment.

The role requires responsiveness to emergencies, timely work-order completion, and adherence to safety/environmental policies; a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of experience are preferred. This is an on-site position with weekly pay and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties and maintain common areas interior and exterior.
• Complete grounds work including trash removal, power washing, and debris removal.
• Clean breezeways, floors, doors and handrails; power wash as needed.
• Assist in basic landscaping: trimming, watering, irrigation checks, clearing debris.
• Prepare units for make-ready by removing trash from vacant apartments.
• Operate equipment such as power washer, backpack blower, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaner and sweepers.
• Assist in pool maintenance and monitor basic chemistry; perform cleanings.
• Respond to on-call maintenance emergencies and after-hours duties.
• Complete work orders within 24–48 hours and update records.
