Job summary

Glacier West is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across Edgewood South, Edgewood North, Milton, Fredrickson, and Orting. The role requires living on-site and traveling between properties to ensure safety, reliability, and clean, secure stores.

You will supervise unit, facility, groundskeeping, and security systems maintenance, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in facility maintenance, or a related field is required.
• Self-storage facility experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with basic computer skills and data entry.
• Dependable and self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as needed.
• Growth mindset and willingness to continuous learning.
• Available for emergencies outside of normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on storage units and facility systems.
• Address roofing, gutters, siding, and other facility issues.
• Manage groundskeeping and vendor relationships to maintain curb appeal.
• Inspect and maintain security systems, cameras, gates, lighting.
• Service elevators, doors, and carts to ensure proper operation.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and minimize disruptions.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Assist with other properties as needed to meet goals.
• Learn and apply workplace tools and applications to broaden capabilities.
