Job summary

Glacier West Self Storage is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across multiple Pacific Northwest locations, with a strong focus on safety, responsiveness, and cost efficiency. The role requires on-site presence and district travel.

You will manage unit, facilities, grounds, security systems, and equipment maintenance, respond to emergencies, coordinate with vendors, and mentor staff while living on-site and supporting on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of facility maintenance experience required.
• Self-storage facility experience a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties.
• Live on-site is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of storage units and facility systems.
• Identify and repair roof leaks, gutters, siding and related issues.
• Manage groundskeeping and vendor relationships; assist landscaping as needed.
• Inspect and maintain security systems, lighting, gates, and fencing.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, elevators, doors, and carts.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and minimize disruptions.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Support other properties as needed and learn new workplace tools.
