Job summary

PFX Group is seeking a LIS Administrator to ensure laboratory information systems and related IT infrastructure operate securely and compliantly at our Danbury, CT facility. The role blends laboratory operations with IT system administration to deliver reliable data and access controls for regulated environments.

You will manage LIS installations, maintain data integrity, and support staff with training while coordinating with IT and lab leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Certifications MCSE, CCNA, RHCE or similar IT credentials; lab-specific certifications may be preferred.
• Technical skills include database administration, LIMS (Qbench), Office, and network devices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of LIS and related databases.
• Lead or support implementation of new LIS solutions aligned with lab workflows and IT infra.
• Maintain data integrity, security, access controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support to laboratory staff and develop training for LIMS use.
• Develop and enforce policies for system use, data handling, and reporting.
• Manage LIMS budget, vendor contracts, and procurement of hardware/software.
• Maintain lab network infrastructure, servers, storage, and virtualization.
• Diagnose and resolve LIS functionality, data flow, and integrations with other systems.
• Ensure clear customer communications and data access.
