Job summary

Lucid Motors is hiring a Staff Global Supply Manager to lead the commercial strategy and supplier execution for exterior lighting systems. This high-visibility, IC role covers sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, product development, launch, and cost performance with autonomy within a fast-moving engineering team.

The ideal candidate has automotive lighting purchasing experience, a deep technical background in lighting systems or related fields, and strong analytical and negotiation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in automotive purchasing, supply chain or related field with exterior lighting experience.
• Experience leading RFQs, supplier selections, negotiations and commercial decisions for automotive lighting.
• Strong knowledge of automotive lighting supplier landscape, cost structure and development process.
• Working knowledge of LED/electronics/optical lighting technologies and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate to commercial actions.
• Advanced analytics: quotation analysis, should-cost modeling and cost evaluation.
• Autonomous, decisive, and capable of driving closure in dynamic environments.
• Excellent negotiation, influence and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in product launches and resolving supplier or program issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the global sourcing and commercial strategy for exterior lighting components and systems.
• Lead RFQ activities, analyze supplier quotations, and build cost models.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing and Program Management.
• Embed with engineering to influence supplier selection and design-to-cost decisions.
• Drive negotiations on piece price, tooling, and development costs.
• Develop a competitive global supplier base and manage supplier relationships.
• Support development builds and production launch milestones.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with internal stakeholders.
• Travel 15–25% for supplier assessments and program reviews.
