Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in DeSoto, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations at Eagle Creek Landing. You will supervise technicians, coordinate tasks with the Property Manager, and ensure safe, efficient performance of the property.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of basic plumbing/electrical, and strong organizational and communication skills. This on-site role offers growth within a growing multifamily team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lead Maintenance, Apartment Maintenance, Property Maintenance or a related field
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including basic plumbing and electrical
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to supervise, train, and support maintenance technicians while prioritizing work orders and daily tasks
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining accurate records
• Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call responsibilities
• Ability to perform the physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support maintenance technicians
• Delegate maintenance tasks and prioritize work orders and available resources
• Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the property
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance issues
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure work orders are completed efficiently and accurately
• Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, tools and equipment
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized maintenance or repairs are needed
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the property's on-call rotation
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Help maintain the condition and appearance of buildings, common areas and property grounds
• Identify maintenance concerns and address issues before they become larger problems
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable safety and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and other required documentation
• Communicate maintenance concerns and property needs to the Property Manager
• Support the onsite team in providing professional and timely service to residents
