Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to ensure reliable operations and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the assigned facility in Washington, DC. The role may be solo or supervise maintenance staff depending on building size and complexity.

You will diagnose HVAC problems, coordinate with contractors, review drawings, and respond to emergencies while complying with codes and company directives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• HVAC and building systems knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MEP systems in the assigned facility.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and troubleshoot equipment.
• Review drawings and coordinate with contractors and PM.
• Respond to emergencies and tenant requests.
