Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Job Developer to coordinate and provide job placement and support services for assigned clients on-site.

You will develop individualized employment plans, conduct employability assessments, coordinate with employers, and guide participants through job readiness training and interviews to improve placement outcomes. This role requires fingerprint clearance and strong communication skills to work with vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks
• High school diploma or GED required; 18+ years old
• 1 year of experience in case management or job development
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; US Armed Forces veteran preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish beneficial

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide job placement and support services for assigned clients
• Develop individualized employment plans and service plans for participants
• Provide career counseling and job coaching, including resume and interview preparation
• Develop relationships with local employers and coordinate with training resources
• Meet regularly with participants and track progress, ensuring timely reporting
