Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking an entry-level Job Developer to coordinate and deliver job placement and support services for assigned clients within our Los Angeles program. The role focuses on creating individualized employment plans, assessing participant readiness, and connecting participants with community resources and employers.

The position requires on-site work, fingerprint clearance, and at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• 6 months of experience as a job developer or in a related role.
• On-site work required for this position.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops an individualized employment plan with each participant.
• Conduct employability assessments of participants including readiness for work and potential barriers.
• Write detailed employment plans with goals and referrals.
• Coordinate with employers and community resources to place participants in jobs.
• Provide career counseling and job coaching, including labor market trends.
