Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Job Developer to coordinate job placement and support services for participants. This on-site role serves as the central contact point, developing individualized employment plans and connecting clients with community referrals and employer opportunities.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of case management or job development experience, can work with veterans and at-risk populations, and may hold a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in employment placement and vocational counseling activities.
• At least a high school diploma or GED; willingness to meet educational requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops an individualized employment plan with each participant.
• Conducts employability assessments including readiness for work and barriers to employment.
• Provides career counseling and job coaching, including resume and interview preparation.
• Coordinates job leads and interviews with employers; supports job retention.
• Develops relationships with local employers to create placement opportunities.
