Job summary

The AME Group is seeking an IT Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based computers and servers. This on-site role supports client environments in Evansville, IN, with on-call coverage and training for users.

Responsibilities include incident tracking, Windows server administration (2022/2025), routine maintenance, printer management, and ticket-based resolutions. Strong documentation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and working with servers
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
• Mid level networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, Wi-Fi)
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and people skills

Responsibilities

• Focal point for on-site IT related issues, tracks issues, and provides updates to staff; project oversight of all items IT related.
• Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2022/2025)
• Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks
• Manage printers and lease agreements with vendors for printers, copiers, other devices
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issues
• Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues
• Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systems
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices
• Manage on site PBX and telecommunication systems.
• Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection
• Interact with Site employees and residents
• Audio and Visual support with projectors, large screen systems, sound systems.
