Job summary

The AME Group is seeking a skilled IT Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based computers and servers. This on-site role supports clients, provides user training, and may require on-call availability.

You’ll participate in staff meetings and ensure timely follow-up on issues. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT support, strong Windows 11/server knowledge, AD/DNS/DHCP, and good communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and working with servers.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Mid level networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, Wi‑Fi).
• Excellent problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for on-site IT issues, track and update status.
• Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2022/2025).
• Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks.
• Manage printers and lease agreements with vendors.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, AD, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Respond to support tickets and deliver timely resolutions for end-users.
• Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document all service activity in tickets and documentation systems.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices.
• Manage on-site PBX and telecommunications systems.
• Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection.
