Job summary

The AME Group, an on-site IT service provider, seeks an IT Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues at a client location in Muncie, IN. On‑call support and user training are part of the role to ensure effective system operation.

Responsibilities include handling on-site IT issues, maintaining desktops/servers, networks, and cybersecurity practices, with a focus on documentation and timely ticket resolutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and working with servers.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Mid level networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, Wi-Fi).
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Focal point for on-site IT related issues, tracks issues, and provides updates to staff; project oversight of all items IT related.
• Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2022/2025).
• Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks.
• Manage printers and lease agreements with vendors for printers, copiers, other devices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues.
• Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systems.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices.
• Manage on site PBX and telecommunication systems.
• Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection.
• Interact with Site employees and residents.
• Audio and Visual support with projectors, large screen systems, sound systems.
