Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries seeks an IT Technician for our Eugene, Oregon office. This on‑site role supports employees and operations, troubleshooting hardware and software, and coordinating with central IT for advanced issues.

Responsibilities include PC/printer repairs, network checks, and software licensing, with travel to Noti as needed. Our team offers comprehensive benefits, retirement contributions, and company‑paid life insurance.

Qualifications

• Two years’ computer and network problem‑solving experience.
• Knowledge of Windows Desktop/Server OS, Azure, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows 365 and Exchange.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Familiarity with VPN, Wi‑Fi, WANs, and LANs.
• CCNA and/or A+ certifications recommended.
• VoIP and antivirus knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site IT support to employees and operations staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues by phone or remote tools.
• Communicate with users to ensure positive experience.
• Coach users on problem‑solving best practices.
• Build, diagnose, and repair PCs, laptops, and printers.
• Manage inventory of computer components and supplies.
• Address concurrent issues with timely resolution.
• Understand file/folder sharing and permissions.
• Perform basic network tests and coordinate with network teams.
• Collaborate with on‑site and centralized IT teams until resolution.
• Install and support Microsoft, IBM i, and other software/licensing.
