Job summary

Power Electronics in Houston, TX is seeking a Systems Technician I to join our IT team on-site. The role targets professionals with about 2 years in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or systems administration, to provide first-level end-user support and maintain workplace technology across facilities.

You'll troubleshoot hardware and software, manage accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and assist with printers, conferencing, and mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree, Technical Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent education in Information Technology or related fields.
• Experience: ~2 years in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or systems administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, OS administration, and IT service management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android devices.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation and admin tasks.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM platforms.
• Install, configure, and support office and industrial printers (Zebra, Sato).
• Support conference rooms, collaboration tools, and AV systems.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and licenses in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Support mobile devices, telephony services, and network troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory records for IT assets and devices.
• Travel between company locations for on-site support.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and information security policies.
