Job summary

Essity is seeking an IT On-Site Support Technician to provide basic IT support at the Barton location, acting as the main contact for troubleshooting network, software, and equipment issues.

The role involves installing and replacing end-user devices, managing local servers with global IT teams, handling tickets, training users, and participating in project and vendor management while following audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Formal education in computer science, business or related field.
• Two to five years desktop IT experience.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• ITIL knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness for after-hours and on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace end-user IT workplace equipment (PCs, smartphones, printers, collaboration tools).
• Support local servers and networks in collaboration with global IT teams.
• Process and own tickets from customers.
• Administer IT assets (hardware and software).
• Train users on IT workplace and collaboration tools.
• Contribute to IT service improvements and knowledge bases.
• Support local applications per global policies.
• Follow audit requirements.
