Job summary

Essity is seeking an IT On-Site Support Technician in Barton, AL to provide basic IT support following standard procedures, serving as the main contact for troubleshooting network, software, and device issues. The role requires local presence and a proactive service mindset.

Responsibilities include deploying end-user devices, supporting local servers, managing tickets, asset administration, user training, and contributing to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Formal education in computer science, business or related field, or combination of education and experience/certifications.
• 2-5 years desktop IT experience.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• ITIL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace end user IT equipment (PCs, smartphones, printers).
• Support local servers and networks with global IT teams.
• Process and own tickets from customers.
• Administer IT assets (hardware and software).
• Train users on IT workplace tools.
• Assist with projects and vendor management.
• Improve IT services and knowledge databases.
• Support local applications per policy.
