Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced IT Technical Support Technician to join our team supporting the City of Irvine & Police Department. The role is 100% on-site in Irvine, California, with Monday–Friday 8-hour days and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities include providing expert second-tier technical support, advising on installation and configuration, training customers, and collaborating with developers to reduce recurring incidents; frequent travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and 3 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder; must pass Irvine Live Scan background check and polygraph.
Excellent customer service and ability to communicate effectively with end users.

Responsibilities

Provides expert and second-tier technical support to field engineers and technicians.
Offers guidance on installation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems.
Tests, trains, and supports customers; troubleshoots products and modifies them to meet customer requirements.
Maintains trouble logs and advises on software/hardware purchases; supports basic PC operations.
Travel is frequent; work is performed at customer sites; partners with developers to reduce recurring incidents.
Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration and usage of designated systems and services.
