Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an entry-level IT On-Site Support Specialist I to provide first-line technical support at company locations in the United States. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in IT support, an associate degree or equivalent, and familiarity with Windows/macOS and Microsoft 365. This on-site role requires professional communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in IT support or help desk.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of TCP/IP DNS DHCP.
• Strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and OS issues (Windows/macOS).
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and apps.
• Respond to IT requests via ticketing, phone, and in person.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier II/III as needed.
• Assist with user account management (password resets, MFA).
• Support basic network connectivity (Wi‑Fi, VPN, Ethernet).
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Follow IT policies and security standards.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service.
