Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking an IT On-Site Support Specialist I to provide first-level technical assistance at company locations.

You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals, delivering courteous, professional service. The role is ideal for entry-level IT professionals to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment, working with Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years IT support or help desk experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps and services.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking concepts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and OS issues (Windows/macOS).
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and standard apps.
• Respond to IT support requests via ticketing system, phone, and in person.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier II/III support as needed.
• Assist with user account management (password resets, MFA support).
• Support basic network connectivity issues (Wi‑Fi, VPN, Ethernet).
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Follow IT policies and security standards; provide professional service.
• Provide courteous and professional support to all users.
