Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Macomb Township, MI is seeking an On-Site Support Specialist I to join our IT team. The role supports the general IT environment and our CMMC Level 2 / ITAR-regulated operations, delivering day-to-day technical help and end-user training.

You will manage endpoints, software deployments, security policies, and incident ownership while coordinating with external MSPs and internal teams to maintain compliant, reliable IT services for manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (equivalent) and five years of experience supporting internal infrastructure and desktop systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft M365 technologies (Teams, meetings, OneDrive, Enterprise Apps, Intune), Imaging, Windows OS, Apple iOS, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies
• Hands on experience on LAN/WAN, Wireless Networks; working and managing a switched network
• In depth knowledge of MS Teams, and other video conferencing and projection solutions
• Strong communication skills with end-users of varying technical backgrounds
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO, SOX, TISAX) and security practices
• Experience with endpoint management, security/EDR awareness, BitLocker and encryption, backup and restore basics
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and incident/problem management
• Ability to work in a team, manage multiple requests, and document IT processes

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day IT operations including PCs, applications, mobile devices, printers, and infrastructure
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software, OS, network, and updates
• Ensure software licensing and compliance
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Provide end-user training on hardware/software and security best practices
• Maintain IT asset inventory and vendor relationships
• Collaborate with desktop, network, and system teams to resolve issues
• Maintain detailed records of support requests and update knowledge base articles
• Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with CMMC/ITAR and related regulations
• Participate in on-call rotation and assist during off-hours
