Job summary

Building Blocks Facades is seeking an IT Support Intern to serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day technology at our Merritt Island HQ. You’ll own the help desk on-site, assist with device onboarding/offboarding, and manage asset tracking with our IT lead and partner.

You will resolve common issues, create guides, and ensure smooth operations while growing technical skills in a real-world setting. This paid internship runs six months with a potential full‑time path.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an IT/CS program or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365; able to troubleshoot hardware/software basics.
• Clear, patient communicator who can explain fixes to non-technical users.
• Organized, reliable, and able to keep records clean and up-to-date.
• On-site availability in Merritt Island, with reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Run the on-site help desk, log requests, track tickets, and close them promptly.
• Troubleshoot first-line issues: password resets, MFA, laptops, printers, Wi‑Fi, and peripherals.
• Escalate unresolved items with details to IT lead or partner, tracking progress.
• Create how-to guides and FAQs for recurring issues to reduce repeat tickets.
• Coordinate onboarding: procure devices, set up accounts, and deliver first-day tech orientation.
• Manage offboarding: organize device return and verify account deactivation.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and perform periodic audits.
