Job summary
Axiom Technologies is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients in Grand Rapids, MI. You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals, and ensure smooth operation of hardware and software in client environments.
This contract-based, part-time position requires independent work, timely responses, and adherence to client security policies.
Qualifications
- Experience with Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
- Practical hardware troubleshooting and replacement skills.
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN, switches, routers).
- Ability to diagnose and fix desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Strong communication and customer service orientation.
- Able to work independently in on-site environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site desktop and IT support at client locations.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise software.
- Assist with network connectivity issues and LAN troubleshooting.
- Document service activities and communicate with the service delivery team.
- Follow client IT policies and security procedures.
