Axiom Technologies in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to deliver on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This contract-based, on-demand role provides hands-on assistance with desktop systems, laptops, networking, and peripherals at client locations.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, troubleshooting Windows desktops, configuring hardware and enterprise software, supporting LAN connectivity, and documenting activities for the service delivery

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
