Job summary

DataServ/xFact seeks an IT Support Engineer to provide on-site end user support at customer locations across the Newark area. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues while delivering exceptional customer service.

Join a collaborative team, participate in deployments and projects, and help maintain documentation and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Relevant prior work experience in IT/help desk or field service.
• Willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site end user support at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Serve as liaison between customer and DataServ/xFact teams.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and tickets.
• Participate in customer meetings and project work.
• Develop/implement workflow improvements and best practices.
• Provide on-call support as assigned.
• Support and maintain customer technologies to ensure uptime.
• Assist with deployments, imaging, and software installs.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues.
• Document knowledge base articles for future support.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service.
• Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership.
