Job summary

Socket.dev in Burlingame, CA is seeking an Information Systems & Security Technician to maintain systems and provide hands-on IT support under the IT Division. This role is hands-on and must be performed on-site.

You'll handle help desk tickets, PC maintenance, phone system troubleshooting, and onboarding of new staff. A related degree or 1–3 years' experience is required, with familiarity in NinjaOne, RingCentral, and Active Directory. A CA driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or similar field or 1-3 years of related experience required
• Experience with Windows 11 Professional environment preferred
• Knowledge of Windows Server Active Directory and Security Permissions preferred
• Familiar with Ring Central phone systems or VOIP systems is a plus
• Must pass background check and have CA driver’s license with clean record

Responsibilities

• Responds to support tickets and other requests.
• Provides training and problem solving for employees on computers, peripherals, and phone system.
• Onboards new employees and trains them in computers and phone systems.
• Performs PC maintenance and software/hardware upgrades.
