Job summary

Peninsula-Humane-Society seeks an Information Systems & Security Technician to support on-site IT operations in Burlingame. The role includes help desk duties, device maintenance, and software/hardware management.

Ideal candidates bring an associate degree or 1–3 years of related experience, familiarity with NinjaOne or similar RMM tools, and knowledge of Windows environments. The position is non-exempt, full-time and on-site at the shelter.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or similar field is required; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in computers, phones and security systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Windows 11 Professional environment.
• Knowledgeable with Windows Server Active Directory and Security Permissions.
• Proficient knowledge MS Office 365 applications and Console.
• Background check required on hire.
• CA Driver’s License with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responds to support tickets and other support requests.
• Provides training and problem solving for employees related to computers, peripherals, and the phone system.
• Conducts IT onboarding and trains new employees in computers and phone systems.
• Maintains and distributes telephone directory and Org Chart.
• Performs PC maintenance and upgrades.
• Installs and maintains software/hardware under supervision.
• Troubleshoots phone system problems.
• Program and troubleshoot miscellaneous electronic devices.
• Troubleshoots printers and copy machines.
