Job summary

HappyGlobal Service in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking an on-site IT & security professional to serve as the primary local contact for IT and security matters. You will collaborate with remote central teams, manage tickets, and support after-hours standby and emergency response.

The role requires 2+ years in IT operations with strong Windows/macOS/Linux, networking, and security policy experience. Expect hands‑on hardware tasks, cloud assistance and close cross‑team coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in on-site IT support or IT operations.
• Proficient with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi and Wireshark.
• Hands‑on experience with SCCM / Intune / GPO / MDM; familiarity with SSO, MFA, VPN and zero‑trust concepts.
• Basic automation skills using Shell / PowerShell / Python; basic familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• On‑site IT support: manage day‑to‑day IT tickets for endpoints, accounts, software, network, conference rooms and AV.
• Network troubleshooting: diagnose local network issues and coordinate with central teams.
• Infrastructure operations: perform hardware maintenance and RMA processing for on‑premises gear.
• Security policy execution: roll out security policies such as EDR/AV, MFA, access controls.
• Security incident response: act as local first responder for security events and triage.
• Cloud & Collaboration: assist with cloud resource operations and coordinate with central teams.
• Standby Duty: participate in after‑hours standby shifts and emergency response.
