Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern at our Mundelein, Illinois location. You will apply classroom learning to real systems, work with IT pros, troubleshoot issues, and improve technology reliability.

You will own a meaningful project with guidance from our team and present findings to leadership at program end. The 10-week, full-time on-site internship starts May 25, 2027, with limited flexibility for academic calendars.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering, data analytics, or a closely related field.
• Interest in using technology to solve problems for people and a manufacturing business.
• Willingness to learn, document findings, and explain technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Learn the systems, support processes, and user needs relevant to your assignment.
• Gather information about technical issues, reproduce problems when appropriate, and document troubleshooting steps.
• Help configure, test, or support technology within your assigned access and under team guidance.
• Analyze data or recurring issues to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create or update clear technical documentation and user instructions.
• Help test application, reporting, or automation changes before approved use.
• Protect confidential information and follow access and change-control procedures.
