Job summary

MacLean-Fogg Company is seeking an Engineering Intern for a 10-week on-site program in Mundelein, IL. You will work with experienced engineers and operators to understand manufacturing processes and contribute to real improvement projects.

You will gain hands-on experience across areas such as manufacturing, quality, lean, automation, and design engineering, with guidance and opportunities to present outcomes to facility leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Willingness to work full time on site for the 10-week program.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Learn safety practices and follow procedures in office and manufacturing areas.
• Collaborate with engineers to define a project and develop practical solutions.
• Collect and analyze engineering data to identify opportunities and measure results.
• Use CAD, testing equipment, data analysis, and lean methods relevant to the assignment.
• Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, productivity, cost, or product performance.
• Document work, communicate progress, and incorporate feedback from the team.
• Present capstone project findings and recommendations to facility leadership.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or closely related field
