Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Field Technician to join their team in Augusta, ME, providing end-user IT support onsite and via phone. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues, install and configure IT equipment, and maintain accurate service documentation.

Candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of printers and computer hardware/ software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while also functioning in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and related applications
• Repair / install / remove printers, POS, laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Provide clear, professional technical support to customers onsite and via phone
• Maintain accurate service documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards
