Job summary

Compucom Staffing is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide onsite IT support across Dothan, AL and surrounding areas. The role requires daily travel and supports multiple store locations.

The candidate should be a self-starter with strong customer service and communication skills, capable of documenting issues and delivering timely resolutions. Must be comfortable with lifting up to 25 lbs and working at heights during installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of IT technical support experience.
• CompTIA certification is required.
• Experience with Windows, OSX, Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Net CompTIA certification is a plus.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent time management and reporting skills.
• Proficient communication with IT terminology at client level.
• Experience with copper and fiber cabling and various connectors.

Responsibilities

• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
• Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment.
• Occasionally works at heights of 20′ to 25′, lift equipment training provided.
• Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily.
