Job summary

Ford Office Technologies provides on-site IT support to customers as a Tier 1 technician, handling hardware/software issues and ensuring efficient operation of client IT systems. You will go on-site to customer locations and assist with networking and device configurations in diverse field environments.

The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented approach, the ability to work independently, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school or related work experience is required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years working in a professional helpdesk environment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and other network protocols preferred.
• Basic understanding of networks, PC support, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• CDIA+ or COMPTIA A+ certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, Outlook, and client programs.
• Quick learner with self-motivation and goal-oriented work style with minimal supervision.
• Must be highly organized, able to work overtime, and a strong team player.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and provide excellent customer service while communicating technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Set up new user accounts and profiles and handle password issues.
• Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops and printers.
• Support training and rollout of new applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
• Set up and work with smart boards; basic server/networking knowledge.
• Chrome book repair and Google Suite support.
• Answer basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of network devices.
• Perform system upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Manage and support Microsoft 365 accounts and services.
• Prioritize and manage multiple open cases with organized records.
