Job summary

Ford Office Technologies, a leading independent provider of copier, printer, and MFP technology, seeks an entry to mid-level IT Helpdesk/On-Site Support professional. You will set up user accounts, provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, and printers, and assist with training and rollout of new applications.

You will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, troubleshoot network issues, and support Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school or related work experience is required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years working in a professional helpdesk environment.
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and other network protocols is preferred.
• Basic understanding of networks, PC support, troubleshooting hardware/software, or classroom experience.
• CDIA+ or COMPTIA A+ certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, Outlook, and client specific programs.
• Ability to learn quickly, self-motivated, and work with little supervision.
• Must be able to multitask, stay organized, and be a strong team player.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up new user accounts and profiles and handle password issues.
• Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops and printers.
• Support the training and roll-out of new applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi).
• Set up and work with smart boards, and basic server/network knowledge.
• Repair Chrome books and manage google suite.
• Answer basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, and usage of network connected devices.
• Perform system upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Manage and support Microsoft 365 accounts and services.
• Prioritize and manage multiple open cases and maintain records.
