Job summary

Valley Interior Systems seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations in Indianapolis, IN. You will coordinate daily activities, oversee safety, and manage relationships with contractors, foremen, project managers, and staff to meet timelines and quality standards.

The role requires a construction background with drywall experience preferred, a high school diploma, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and drywall preferred with leadership experience.
• High school diploma required; college or field experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to carry out written or oral instructions with problem solving and process management.
• Basic mathematical skills including percentages, profit and loss, and graphs/charts.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site project operations and serve as first contact for general contractors, foremen, project managers, and safety personnel.
• Maintain clear communication, build collaborative relationships, and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, cost or schedule.
• Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, and day-to-day activities to meet milestones.
• Establish priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and address manpower or resource needs.
• Conduct routine site inspections for compliance with specifications, safety and cost controls.
• Maintain project documentation including daily progress reports and schedules.
• Coordinate with safety professionals to support training, audits, and corrective actions.
• Review drawings, provide field guidance on installation methods, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, investigate variances, and obtain approval for significant purchases.
• Support equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and timely repair coordination.
• Address field-team concerns and maintain productive, respectful job sites.
• Promote Valley’s mission, values, standards, and priorities across projects.
