Job summary

My Client in Indianapolis seeks an experienced on-site Superintendent to own field operations from mobilization through turnover. You will lead crews across multiple trades, manage the project schedule, and drive a culture of safety and quality on high-end multifamily and mixed-use developments.

The role requires 10+ years in superintendent roles, proven leadership, and strong attention to daily reports, RFIs, and site controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Superintendent experience, including senior/lead roles.
• Proven track record leading complex projects across education, municipal, commercial, or institutional work.
• Strong field leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with on-site decision making.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of field operations from mobilization through turnover, driving safety, schedule, quality, and execution across the entire build.
• Lead subcontractors, suppliers, and self-perform crews across concrete, carpentry, flatwork, excavation, masonry, and millwork scopes.
• Own the project schedule in the field, developing short-interval look-aheads, sequencing trades, and managing site logistics to keep production moving.
• Set the standard for jobsite safety and quality, conducting inspections, enforcing protocols, and building a zero-incident culture.
• Serve as the face of the project on-site, coordinating directly with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project leadership.
• Build and develop high-performing field teams, mentoring emerging leaders and driving accountability across the jobsite.
• Maintain tight control of daily reporting, RFIs, change orders, inspections, and QC documentation to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
