Job summary

Placements24 in Welkom is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our on-site operations team. You will analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration with production and maintenance, and managing projects from conception to completion. A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and 1–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in industrial engineering or operations roles.
• Familiarity with Lean and process-improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production lines, workflows and plant operations to identify inefficiencies.
• Design and implement Lean/Six Sigma based improvements to raise productivity and cut waste.
• Develop and maintain standards, procedures and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and management to implement new processes.
• Manage small engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Evaluate new equipment or technology to improve operations.
