Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer for a client’s production facility in Welkom. You will analyze processes, design workflows, implement Lean tools, and support targets on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering with 2–4 years of experience and strong Excel skills; knowledge of scheduling and inventory systems is a plus. Includes health benefits, retirement options, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts (5S, Kanban, VSM).
• Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory systems.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Design and implement optimized workflows and equipment layouts.
• Develop and refine SOPs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Support lean initiatives and continuously improve processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with supervisors and leads to boost performance.
