Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer to champion Lean initiatives at our client's Welkom facility. You will lead continuous improvement projects across production and logistics, driving efficiency, cost reductions, and world-class performance.

You will develop operational metrics and dashboards, facilitate training, analyze data for root causes, and ensure new technologies are integrated to enhance capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and performance metric development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency.
• Develop and maintain operational metrics and dashboards to track performance.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on continuous improvement methodologies for staff at all levels.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes, and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new procedures and best practices.
• Ensure integration of new technologies and systems to enhance operational capabilities.
