Job summary

Jefferson County Human Resources in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support HR systems and HRIS operations. You will serve as a link between HR, County departments, and technology, helping analyze data, create reports, and troubleshoot system issues.

The role focuses on maintaining HR systems, facilitating data transfers, and supporting personnel actions; it is onsite with no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Management, or a degree showing scripting/reporting knowledge.
• Experience providing systems administration support and data integrity.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data import/export).
• Experience analyzing data to present solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain HR systems and backups to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with data transfers to external partners and HRIS-related processes.
• Analyze and resolve system issues; generate reports and templates for HR operations.
• Interview end users to determine system needs and coordinate system implementations.
• Provide training materials and sessions to users on hardware/software operation.
