Job summary

Jefferson County Human Resources in Birmingham, Alabama seeks a Business Systems Analyst to bridge HR, departments, and technology, supporting HRIS, evaluating processes, and generating reports.

You will troubleshoot data issues, assist with system changes, train users, and help maintain data integrity across HR systems in an on-site role with no supervisory duties. Strong SQL and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS or a related field.
• Experience providing systems administration support and ensuring data integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data formatting.
• Experience analyzing data to present solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitors systems and information backups to maintain data integrity and availability.
• Procures and manages inventory to meet departmental needs.
• Investigates computer-related problems across LAN/WAN/databases to resolve end-user issues.
• Conducts training and creates materials to educate users on hardware and software operations.
• Designs and maintains IT specifications by interviewing end-users and coordinating implementations.
