Job summary
Jefferson County in Birmingham, Alabama seeks a Business Systems Analyst to support HR technology and HRIS operations onsite. You will bridge HR, county departments, and technology, analyze data, create reports, and support system changes while maintaining data integrity.
The role involves troubleshooting, training, and implementing software/hardware specifications to meet end-user needs in a local government setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Experience providing systems administration support and maintaining data integrity.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting.
- Experience analyzing data to present solutions to stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting/programming languages (SQL, VB, Java) and data querying.
- Experience writing reports using HRIS or similar systems.
- Experience with data mapping and user permissions.
Responsibilities
- Monitors systems and backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Procures and manages inventory to meet departmental needs.
- Troubleshoots LAN/ WAN/databases and applications to resolve end-user issues.
- Designs training programs and materials for users on hardware and software.
