Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham HRIS team is seeking an HR Systems and Operations Analyst II to ensure the reliability of our HR systems and to support enterprise-wide HR operations. You will design, test, and implement new HR solutions with a focus on reporting, analytics, and compliance reporting to agencies.

You will collaborate with HR professionals and central IT to develop BI dashboards, maintain the data warehouse, and provide ad-hoc and periodic reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, CS or math required.
• Five years of related experience required.
• Experience with HR systems and data reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze HR systems, integrations, and processes to develop Compliance and BI dashboards.
• Develop, implement, and support automated reporting for federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
• Support HR and enterprise decision making through custom reporting and metrics development.
• Maintain and improve HR Data Warehouse by setting up data pipelines.
• Create, maintain, and monitor SQL server jobs and ETL/export processes.
• Coordinate with central IT to set up and/or maintain interfaces among HR systems.
• Optimize and automate HR processes when needed.
• Create technical and functional documentation.
• Problem solving in a team environment.
