Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll knowledge and HR administration experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and drive resolution.
• Clear, assertive, courteous communication; stay composed addressing employee concerns.
• Construction or field-workforce experience; Adams Keegan or similar payroll systems; Navision/Business Central; supervisory experience; OSHA 10/30 training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly payroll with a third-party provider; verify timecards, audit reports, and correct discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
• Maintain payroll setup, wage changes, deductions, PTO, and required docs; coordinate with accounting.
• Complete weekly certified payrolls.
• Coordinate onboarding and screening; maintain personnel records and departures.
• Support performance reviews and wage increase processing.
• Coordinate benefits open enrollment and FSA/HRA administration with providers.
• Liaise on workers' compensation, accidents, and injuries; coordinate drug screening and unemployment claims.
• Maintain licenses, update the handbook, and support safety policy administration.
• Prepare monthly employee newsletter; coordinate translations using available tools.
