Mittera is seeking an HR Manager to join our on-site team in Berkeley, IL. You will lead recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and employee relations, while guiding policy development and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

You will partner with leadership to implement short- and long-term HR strategies, support learning initiatives, and drive a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR or related field required.
• Minimum of two years of HR management experience preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification highly desired.
• Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute HR strategies supporting business objectives, including workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
• Guide managers on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations and document findings; recommend actions per policies and laws.
• Advise on performance improvement, disciplinary actions, and terminations; ensure policy compliance.
• Serve as liaison between corporate HR and business units for consistent policy implementation.
• Oversee talent acquisition for production, administrative, and other roles; define staffing needs and required competencies.
• Prepare and communicate compensation, benefits, and HR policies to employees.
• Develop and support learning and development programs to strengthen skills and internal advancement.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies; update HR procedures as needed.
• Stay informed on HR trends and employment law; implement best practices.
• Support OSHA compliance and promote a safe work environment.
