Mittera in Wisconsin is seeking a Human Resources & Safety Assistant to support HR Manager and EHS Coordinator in day-to-day operations. You will assist with new hire processes, recruiting, employee relations, and safety initiatives while acting as a backup for safety matters across the plant.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership and staff to sustain strong relationships, boost engagement, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company policies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
• Associate degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Manager and EHS Coordinator with day-to-day HR operations.
• Assist full-cycle recruitment, postings, and candidate communications.
• Coordinate new hire orientations and onboarding tasks.
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and benefits enrollment training.
• Support safety initiatives and act as backup for safety matters.
• Help prepare employee newsletters and manage social media presence.
